Who Snitched the Witches' Britches?: Short Synopsis
The three witches Grizelda, Cornelia and Narelle have retired to the woods and swamplands of Foggy Hollow. They don’t have much luck with their spells working and are minus their britches. They decide to open a shop in Foggy Hollow to sell potions and lotions. Red Ridin’ in DA Hood is a sassy young girl who loves to dance and wants to win the Hip Hop section of the Variety concert which is usually won every year by the extremely talented Pigg Sistas.
She and Golidlocks are practising for the competition. They are good buddies until Red joins forces with Mr Woloff in his dastardly plans and helps them kidnap the witches little cat Tic Tac Toe. (Or does she?) Goldilocks, is shy and scared. She meets and falls for Barry Botter the detective brother of Betty Botter, who comes along to help solve the mystery of the missing britches (and other problems which arise). Barry Botter has a little assistant called…..
The Philosophers Gnome! The Real Estate Company (run by the evil Hansel and Gretel) is trying to either buy up all the land cheaply, or scare the locals off their properties, so that a property developer can build a chemical factory on the swamp which will pollute all. Mr Woloff and his two cohorts Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee are of course involved in this plan. Snow White lives in her house with the dwarfs who are now noisy and slovenly grown men who like to lie around watching TV and Hi Ho ing!! They are driving her bonkers with their antics. At heart they are “good lads”. Mirror Mirror, on the wall, has a Jamaican accent.
He falls in love with Snow White and finally, through magic, is transformed at the end of the play into Prince Desmond. The three bears are away on holidays but they get home in time for all to be resolved and for the Variety concert at the end of the play.
